My phone is not giving me the battery percentage option nor is it showing the percentage.

My phone is not giving me the battery percentage option nor is it showing the percentage. Had techs at Verizon trying to find it but they couldn't. Conclusion was this is an Apple issue which perhaps Apple can correct in an update.

Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities!

I understand that you are wanting to view the battery percentage. On the iPhone XS and other new models, the battery will only show as a graphic on the menu bar. In order to view the battery percentage, you will need to swipe down from the top-right corner to open the Control Center from the Home screen. In the upper right hand corner, you will be able to view the battery percentage.

Show the battery percentage on your iPhone or iPad

I as well as the Verizon technicians all tried to do as you directed to no avail. The battery percentage just is NOT on my phone. I NEED THE PERCENTAGE ICON!!!

Additionally, this seems to be a widespread issue. There is even a blog detailing the same issue.

Apple needs to correct this problem with an upgrade!!!
