After upgrade to MacOS Mojave, I cannot login or connect to App Store.

I am using the latest MacBook Pro 2018 version. After upgrade to MacOS Mojave, I cannot sign out, login App Store or View my account. It always show "Cannot Connect to App Store". I also upgrade my iMac to MacOS Mojave, my iMac does not have this issue.

How can I fix this issue on my 2018 MacBook Pro?

Thank you

I have 3 MacBooks that I upgraded to Mojave when it came out. My 2017 MacBook Pro and my father-in-law's 2017 MacBook Pro work just fine after upgrading. My wife's early 2013 MacBook Air on the other hand is having many of the same Mac App Store issues addressed here. I spent several hours chatting with representatives from Apple including Senior Advisors, trying several different things, as well as doing my own research to fix the Mac App Store on my wife's Mac, to no avail. I was able to finally get the App Store to sign out however, but now it won't sign back in. I hope Apple addresses this in an update soon.

If you're having problems with the App Store you might try this:

1 - sign out of the App Store.

2 - enable the Debug menu in App Store:

  • open the Terminal application.
  • copy the command below and paste into the Terminal window:
defaults write com.apple.appstore ShowDebugMenu -bool true

followed by Enter or the Return key.

3 - launch App store and select the Debug ➙ Reset Application option:

4 - sign in and try again.

I'm having the same issue.

As a test, I created a new Apple ID, generated a new user account on my Mac Book Pro, then attempted to log into the App Store on that new account using the new Apple ID. The same problem occurred.

The console shows several App Store errors when I first bring it up:

- "Unable to load Info.plist exceptions (eGPUOverrides)"

- "AWSNetworkQualityInquiry: The network quality inquiry couldn't be initialized for metrics."

- "AWSKeepAliveSession: [....] Failed to acquire assertion"

- "AMSURLRequest: Failed to fetch GUID schemes from bag" (several occurrences of this message)

Clicking on "Sign In" generates these App Store messages in the console:

- "ITLib xpc error: Connection interrupted"

- "Error getting iTunes pref."

- The above KeepLiveSession and URLRequest messages as well.

Lastly, entering the password and selecting "Sign In" generates these App Store messages:

- The above KeepAliveSession and URLRequest messages

- "Sign in failed with error code: -999, description: <private>"

Does that actually show a Debug menu on Mojave? When I perform those steps, there is no Debug menu.

$ defaults write com.apple.appstore ShowDebugMenu -bool true

$ defaults read com.apple.appstore

{

...

ShowDebugMenu = 1;

UserSetAutoPlayVideoSetting = 0;

mostRecentTabIdentifier = discover;

}

[Open App Store]

$ defaults read com.apple.appstore

{

...

UserSetAutoPlayVideoSetting = 0;

mostRecentTabIdentifier = discover;

}

[ The ShowDebugMenu setting is no longer present ]

After upgrade to MacOS Mojave, I cannot login or connect to App Store.
