Touch I.D. doesn't work when Screen Time parental controls are on

Just upgraded to an Xs and gave my son my old iPhone 6. Enabled Screen Time with content restrictions, but it seems it also restricts Touch I.D. I understand it disabling it for purchases (which I disabled in Screen Time anyway), but why would it disable Touch I.D. for unlocking the phone?

welafever, thanks for the link. I read through it but it doesn't mention turning off Touch I.D.
