Possible MacBook Browser Virus

Accidentally, I clicked on www.golfchanel.com and clicked on a component on that site. It claims to be a "security check" and it loaded a couple of programs. I believe "AnySearch... would appear on my browser at startup.

Now, about four times a day I see a "enter password, Apple want to make changes to your system" window. Thoughts?

Hi,

It seems like this might be a fake virus/scam attempt. You can read more here: Avoid phishing emails, fake 'virus' alerts, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support

You can read about blocking safari pop-ups here: How to block pop-ups in Safari - Apple Support

Now, there is a small possibility it isn’t fake, so here’s an article— for macOS Sierra about protecting your Mac from malware: https://support.apple.com/kb/PH25087?locale=en_US&viewlocale=en_US

Hopefully this helps.
