How to change the name of my iMAC 27 on OS/X 10.9.5?

After googeling a lot, I found the answer on the excellent french Mac Génération forum : https://forums.macg.co/threads/nom-de-machine-dans-le-terminal.1272517/

So the command to change the name of a machine with OS/X is : "sudo scutil --set HostName new-name" where "new-name" is the name of you machine.

Exemple : sudo scutil --set HostName iMac-de-Michel

Thank you for your post.

Unfortunately, your proposal modify only the "network" address on witch other computers of your network can access to, wich in my case is: iMC-27.local

But this does not change the prompt (at least with OS/X 10.9.5).

Any other idea?

So, should I click on the "Modify" button and change iMac 27 to the new name I need then close this dialog box?

But this should only change the network name but not the first part of the prompt, am I wrong ?

Here is what I get in the Terminal:

And I would like to change MacBook-Pro-de-Axiome by iMac-27-de-BREGUSSAK.

This information must be stored in one (or multiple) file(s). What are they with OS/X ? (They are in /etc/hosts and /etc/hostname on Linux).

Any idea ?
