iOS 12 draining the battery

Anybody have battery draining issue on iOS 12 ????
I'm having the same issue. I updated to the new ios 12 a couple of days ago. Yesterday, my battery life plummeted. Very light use and was it was dropping %'s within minutes. Had to charge twice yesterday just to keep it from going completely dead. Under normal use, it lasts me a full day.
Yes I have the same issue as well. I have an iphone 7 and the battery has got worse since I updated to ios 12. The battery basically drops 2% per 5mins and it's ridiculous! I also realized that the max capacity dropped to 95 from 99 before the update. I can't believe that! Apple really needs to fix this or I've got to replace my battery.
Yep. We've noticed diminished battery life as well.
I have an iPhone 6s. I put it in Airplane mode when I'm driving and I don't use Siri. I've turned off all of that Siri short-cut nonsense -- you'd think there would be a single place to do that, but no. I rarely use my phone, only to keep in touch with my spouse when she's out of town on business. (Mostly through Message). I have 3 bars of service and connected to home WiFi. Since installing the latest iOS 12, my idle phone is draining 25% of it's battery per day, just sitting there. Battery health is 96%, last time I checked, and yes, I've shut it off etc... Looks like I need to start making backups before upgrading iOS, so that I can go back to a previous version.
It's not just an iPhone problem either. My iPad Pro (previous version) used to last me a solid a week, reading news, Ars Technia, USA Today crossword, iTunes on Tuesdays, local grocery's flyer on Wednesdays... Now I need to plug it in every 3 1/2 days or so.
I also have an older iPad Air that I keep in the bedroom so that I can use the Home App to turn on/brighten lights around the house in the morning. That's the only thing I use it for, and since installing iOS 12, it needs to be plugged in every 8 days, where it used to go for weeks.
I also have an even older iPad that sits in my office in the basement. I kept it so that I could use the Home App -- this was before Apple bought Home to macOS. It is running iOS 11.4.1. I charged it recently and I've used it for 46 minutes, it's been idle for 121 hours (about 5 days), and it still has 95% battery remaining.
Don't tell me that there's not a huge battery drain in iOS 12.
First, check the battery health. Settings - > battery .
Check the activity of battery usage and try to deactivate the inactive services.
Try to use low power mode.
Everyone make sure you leave feedback here so apple see it as it clearly is an issue
Same problem here with two iPhone SE and one iPhone 6s. iOS12 is draining the battery fast.
I have also posted my problem (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8594055)
”This probably has been said before in this thread, but I would recommend reporting your battery issues at Feedback - iPhone - Apple. Filling in the form takes a few minutes, and perhaps it helps...”
I tried them , I faced the same problems in iOS 11.4 , then it seems to be fixed on iOS 11.4.1, then again im facing battery draining issue with the minimal use of my
Cool!.. Better try to replace the battery if it is under warranty. If not raise the complaint to apple support
I have a 6s Plus, battery is 100% capacity, but draining very quickly with this ew update ! Is Apple just trying to get me to buy a new phone ? I wonder sometimes !
Yeah the battery drain on my iPhone 7 is much worse on iOS 12. Lots of threads with people saying the same too.
Even did a clean install...
Yes, my normally solid iPhone7 is suffering. Hoping the next version of ios12 will fix it. I'm wondering if it aligns with the charging issues on the new iPhones? 😕
Is it better since the reinstall? That’s what they did yesterday to mine. Fingers crossed , she said it works . I couldn’t believe how fast mine was draining, and light use
I reinstalled ios 12 and it is just as bad with battery drain
I installed iOS 12 also. Before ios12 battery was fine and after it completely drains within 2 hours. Apple needs to fix this.
My iphone 7 seemed to rectify a couple of days after it started battery draining. The problem was originally draining 10%+ every few minutes.
It now seems to have returned to normal battery usage.
