I have an 2 years old iPhone 7 (normal one, not Plus) and with iOS 11 and 12 (even 12.1) the battery drains in 3-4 hrs and need to recharge 3 times a day (or more). That was until last week that I went to a Premium Reseller (in my country we don't have official Apple Stores) and do a battery change. The phone with the new battery last 8 or more hours, and only charges once in a day! So the solution for me was the battery replacement. Also, I was noticing that my battery gets hot for the 2 years that I bought the phone until the replacement. The new one doesn't do that!

I have the same phone. I have never had a battery issue. But for some reason. Now I can’t even talk on my phone longer then 15 20 minutes before the battery dies. Before anyone tells me that it’s my battery health. Don’t. Because I know my phone and I know I could be on my phone all day and not have an issue until I installed iOS 12. I also know that Apple just got into trouble for doing this before to force people to upgrade phones. So please fix the problem and quit trying to convenience people that they have bad phones or phone battery’s.

Well im using an Ipad 2 .....having updated to this a very short while ago, theres no duration of stored power ..... ...

My Ipad was almost fully charged at 8.40 pm this eve ....

Cue just after midnight with no more than the calendar , Facebook manager and FB app open, it was then down to a mere 3 as in yes THREE PERCENT % CHARGE

i went to bed with it fully charged last night..by morning , FLAT !

This didnt ever happen until this software update went in !

The software update has been in more than a few days, an the '' indexing '' is a joke as a suggestion....

clearly reloads etc etc serve no purpose other than to take up time of the user ...

The company is facing legal action in various parts of the world, for software deliberately depleting the usability of their products

What kind of farce is this thats being perpetually perpetrated in the name of business ?

We pay a significant amount of money for these products, which i love , but this kind of thing is so frustrating ! and simply not on !

If its deliberate, or known on release, it simply should not be tolerated !

Help me out! I am having terrible issues with this! I just received my phone back from apple. I had a “no service” error and it was a know defect on some I phone 7’s so apple fixed it at no charge. I had previously replaced the battery in December and it had been working well since then. When I got my phone back from apple the receipt said they replaced my battery as well as fixed the “no service” issue. Ever since I got it back from apple the battery drains super fast!! I am barely even using the phone because I am using my old phone still. It is saying Siri is using 73% of my battery when I was sleeping and not even touching my phone. I haven’t changed any settings with Siri and never had this problem before?
