iPhone Xs front facing camera is extremely zoomed in and fuzzy (sharp) on Snapchat specifically! Anyone else having this issue?

Yes same here! The camera is significantly more blurry and grainy with flash. Happens even in the iPhone camera app but worse on snap. I think could be due to the long camera format of the app? Maybe they need to update but the old iPhone 7 I had contained two front facing cameras so I figured that could be why. If iPhone XS has dual camera on back why not front?

Well I tried some other iphone xs in the store this weekend compared to mine and it came out they were sharper and better not blurry or zoomed like feeling so it seems like hardware!!!

Maybe they can fix with update but mine is 12 days old so im returning mine and getting a new one!

I'm right there with you. I was so excited when I bought this phone for the front facing camera capabilities and now I barely use Snapchat due to it being so zoomed in and grainy. Hope they fix this problem fast -- if I'm paying $1200+ dollars for a phone, it better **** well be near perfect.

Has anyone found a fix for the iPhone XS max zoom issue on Snapchat yet? Daughter still having the issue even after downloading IOS 12.1. Just wondering if it is a hardware issue with her specific phone or others still having the problem?

Same problem here, even after updating to iOS 12.1. I’ve had the iPhone 7+ and iPhone 8 and their camera were astonishing even on Snapchat, both front and back with blitz. The iPhone Xs literally ***** and I hate using Snapchat now. Feels like half an iPhone half an Samsung. Mine is 4 days old and will go down and either get my old phone again or the X. Really disappointed in apple on this one. Unbelievable even if it’s a mistake.

$1200 phone better feel like a $1200 **** phone.

Just got the iPhone Xs max today and I'm having this problem... especially on snapchat. The front facing camera makes you look too smooth as if you have make up on or used another app. Thinking about returning my phone and going back to the 7 plus. Very disappointing... really hoping there will be a fix to this!!

I upgraded to the XS max ... and the camera on selfie mode is terrible. Photos are so zoomed in that you can barely take a selfie . It looks awful . I hope apple can come up

with something because I really want to go back to my iPhone 7 if this will continue to be the camera quality.

Im soooooo annoyyeeeed. I was always so happy with the Iphone front camera. Ive tried Samsung and Huawei but none of them had camera like Iphone. I upgraded from an Iphone 7 to Iphone XR today and Ive never been this disappointed with Apple!

Whats going on with the camera? Please fix it, here us out Apple, its awful!

Fine if you want a face tuning option but it should be an o p t i o n.

Also I shouldnt have to experience real bad quality pixel pictures with a lot of blur going on.

I just got this the phone xs today and I got Snapchat and the camera looks like crap is there anyway that I can fix it I really like the phone...And I tried everything online like unloading me up deleting the app I’ve tried everything is there anything that y’all can do for me

Has anyone considered that the issue is most likely due to the App not being able to catch up to the iPhone X and newer abilities? Are you having issues with the camera in any other apps? Yeah, I didn't think so. This is not an issue with the devices, it's an issue with the app.

I don't use Snapchat. It's definitely THE DEVICE. I feel like I need a selfie stick just to hold it away from my face bc it's SO zoomed in. Even the front facing camera is AWFUL. I think it's the update bc I kept my iPhone 7plus and it's so close on there as well. My last phone I could take videos of the inside of homes so easily and now EVERYTHING is zoomed to the point where I might be able to get two pieces of furniture in a pic but an entire room is impossible. Who the **** has "perfect" lighting with their CELL PHONE!?! FIX THIS!

I believe this is a snapchat problem, not an apple problem. Snapchat needs to update their app to support the format of the xs/max camera, because if you use the actual camera app on your phone it should be fine.

a week ago my iphone7 completely shut me out, I went to use iphone5 for awhile .... now that i got my XR i literally have the same issue!!! the front camera i'snt as good as iphone 7 and besides snapchat front camera feels worse than iphone 5 .....

i just got an iPhone XR and the Carmel looks like it has a filter on it and the Snapchat camera is sooo zoomed it looks so bad will apple be doing anything to fix it after all these reports. I kinda want to go back to my iPhone 7 Plus :/

This is an issue with Snapchat rather than iOS or the iPhone XS itself. You will have to wait for Snapchat to fix the issue, which I believe has already happened. Hope this has helped and sorry for the late response! Good luck!
