iPhone Xs front facing camera is extremely zoomed in and fuzzy (sharp) on Snapchat specifically! Anyone else having this issue?

Fix is coming in 12.1 update :D Finally!!!!

Well I tried some other iphone xs in the store this weekend compared to mine and it came out they were sharper and better not blurry or zoomed like feeling so it seems like hardware!!!

Maybe they can fix with update but mine is 12 days old so im returning mine and getting a new one!

Has anyone considered that the issue is most likely due to the App not being able to catch up to the iPhone X and newer abilities? Are you having issues with the camera in any other apps? Yeah, I didn't think so. This is not an issue with the devices, it's an issue with the app.

I believe this is a snapchat problem, not an apple problem. Snapchat needs to update their app to support the format of the xs/max camera, because if you use the actual camera app on your phone it should be fine.

This is an issue with Snapchat rather than iOS or the iPhone XS itself. You will have to wait for Snapchat to fix the issue, which I believe has already happened. Hope this has helped and sorry for the late response! Good luck!

If you have high level of lighting using the front facing camera it’s less blurry

Yes same here! The camera is significantly more blurry and grainy with flash. Happens even in the iPhone camera app but worse on snap. I think could be due to the long camera format of the app? Maybe they need to update but the old iPhone 7 I had contained two front facing cameras so I figured that could be why. If iPhone XS has dual camera on back why not front?

I'm right there with you. I was so excited when I bought this phone for the front facing camera capabilities and now I barely use Snapchat due to it being so zoomed in and grainy. Hope they fix this problem fast -- if I'm paying $1200+ dollars for a phone, it better **** well be near perfect.

Has anyone found a fix for the iPhone XS max zoom issue on Snapchat yet? Daughter still having the issue even after downloading IOS 12.1. Just wondering if it is a hardware issue with her specific phone or others still having the problem?

Same problem here, even after updating to iOS 12.1. I’ve had the iPhone 7+ and iPhone 8 and their camera were astonishing even on Snapchat, both front and back with blitz. The iPhone Xs literally ***** and I hate using Snapchat now. Feels like half an iPhone half an Samsung. Mine is 4 days old and will go down and either get my old phone again or the X. Really disappointed in apple on this one. Unbelievable even if it’s a mistake.

$1200 phone better feel like a $1200 **** phone.

I upgraded to the XS max ... and the camera on selfie mode is terrible. Photos are so zoomed in that you can barely take a selfie . It looks awful . I hope apple can come up

with something because I really want to go back to my iPhone 7 if this will continue to be the camera quality.

Me too, I got the phone saturday 11/24. I thought it was just me, i hate it. Are they going to come up with an update to fix the app?

Is there an update on this? I just got the xs yesterday and the camera on my iPhone 6s was better! Very disappointed.
