After upgrade to Mojave very slow login

Good morning!

I own several Macs, all show the same issue after upgrading to Mojave.

The start up time till the login screen is faster now. After typing my password in, it is getting really slow. After a while, a white apple logo is showing up for a few seconds. After that, the login is successfull and the Mac is working very well as usual.

Anybody else has this problem? Is a massive longer waiting time "works as designed"?

Thanks!

It's not just the login that is suffering, everything is extremely slow. It's like I added 10 years to the age of my iMac with this upgrade. Everything gets a spinning cursor: Dropbox, Chrome, even Mac's own System Preferences hangs on me. CPU usage is normal, memory is available, there seems to be no hardware reason for this. And obviously not, as it began with the OS upgrade. I have an iMac Late 2015 5K. This shouldn't be happening.
