After upgrade to Mojave very slow login

It's not just the login that is suffering, everything is extremely slow. It's like I added 10 years to the age of my iMac with this upgrade. Everything gets a spinning cursor: Dropbox, Chrome, even Mac's own System Preferences hangs on me. CPU usage is normal, memory is available, there seems to be no hardware reason for this. And obviously not, as it began with the OS upgrade. I have an iMac Late 2015 5K. This shouldn't be happening.

Same problem here. I have a hard disk drive rather than solid state (SSD). I wonder if there is a speed problem with hard disks on the new file system, APFS. Is anybody experiencing this problem with an SSD drive?

Had same problem. Uninstalling "Little Snitch" seemed to resolve it.

Yes, I found the solution to everything being slow or hanging on Mojave. I restored to High Sierra and my system has been working great ever since. Never has worked better.

After upgrading to macOS Mojave, the bad performance always happens such as spinning occur on switching tab of chrome

This is a last resort for me, as I need the Little Snitch but if nothing else works I'll remove it... even just to see if it clears up the problem, which didn't happen in High Sierra for me.
