iPhone clock status icons gone since iOS 12 update

Since the latest update of ios 12. I am missing the clock when you set an alarm. I now have been forgetting to set alarms or there are alarms on and I thought there weren't any on and being woken up at random times.

Is there any way to get this function back when alarms are set etc.

Thank you

Hi yes this is what I was referring to.

Since experiencing this issue I have restarted my phone by pressing the volume up control, followed by the volume down control and the pressing and holding the lock button down until you see the screen go black and the the apple will appear.

Once I restarted the phone it seems to have cleared the error.

Thank you

Hi, mcs93!

Thanks for stopping by the Apple Support Communities. If I understand your post, you've updated your iPhone 8 to iOS 12 and since cannot find the Clock app, which is making setting and managing your alarms a bit difficult. I'm happy to help!

The Clock app is an iOS built-in app, which means it's part of the iOS software. It's also one that cannot be deleted, so the good news is the app is on your device. If it's not where you typically have it located, it likely got inadvertently moved into a folder or onto another Home screen. To find it, you can manually search for it by opening all your folders and going to all your Home screens. You can also use the Search feature to find it: Use Search on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support .

Once you've located the Clock app, you can manually move it back to wherever is most convenient: How to move apps and create folders on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support .

If you're having difficulty finding or relocating the app, you can head into Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout to put the iPhone apps back in their default positions. Built-in apps (like the Clock app) will appear on the first Home screen, with apps you've installed from the App Store appearing on subsequent Home pages.

Have a great day.
