I watch as an option to receive a call on iphone

i noticed when I get a call on iphoneXs, to answer it, now I get an option to switch the call to I watch. so if I click on the speaker button, I get option for iPhone, speaker or I watch. i don’t see why would someone want to receive a call on iwatch. Is there a way to disable it? Previously on iPhone 7 and watch series 2, I didn’t get this. See picture below.
