mail opens following restart

Following the install of Mojave, when I restart my computer, Mail will automatically open. How can I get this to stop?

Hi Alex Arnett1,

Check your settings by doing the following CTRL + CLICK (or right-click) the Mail icon in the Dock > Options > de-select "Open at Login"

Thanks for the assist, PrestoMeghan.

I just did that, but Mail opens again after I restart. "Open at Login" still had the checkmark, but when I restarted the iMac, the checkmark was gone, but Mail l opened again.
