Itunes Download issue

Hi i'm trying to download itunes on a new pc, i dont want it on my C: drive which seems to be the default download space for itunes, anyone help me as to how to download onto another drive? TIA.

This is where I have tried downloading iTunes from but it doesn’t let me pick a drive, just auto picks C: drive :-(

You should be able to change where the iTunes application is installed if you download the standalone iTunes installer from https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ rather than use the Microsoft Store version, however that isn't usually the real problem. See Make a split library portable for advice on placing your iTunes library, and if necessary your iOS backup data, on a different drive. This is usually much more significant than where the application files are placed.

Ah, perhaps if iTunes is already installed you don't get to choose. Just now I don't really want to spend the time uninstalling and reinstalling to test this. See Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for all you could want on fully removing iTunes before reinstalling it. I'd still be tempted to recommend that the application is installed on the system drive. It isn't that big. Around than 600 Mb, of which 300 Mb still goes on the system drive even if you choose an alternate location for the main app. And an external drive won't cut it for an application, it would have to be an internal always available drive.
