As long as it comes from Apple, refurbished iPhone's get new cases and are checked out to perform as well as brand new. They are typically indistinguishable from a brand new phone.

Thanks for your information.

In this case, please keep my experience as a big minus for apple, I have over 12 devices from apple in my home, and never imagined to receive a refurbished iphone directly from apple with signs of wear could be accepted or even a practice.... but indeed it's been 4 in a raw for this specific situation which i am fighting for.

This is a user to user ONLY forum. Apple isn't here and won't confirm anything via this forum for you. All we can do is tell you what we've heard from people who have gotten refurbished replacements or in the case of Idris, her actual experience receiving a refurbished iPhone.

If you are looking for guarantees from a user only community, you can't get what you're looking for. You need to work with Apple directly.

Yes, this is what everyone in apple customer care confirms on apple 1st line support and authorised support representatives.

My case is opposite, problem is i delivered a iphone X in MINT condition, 4 months old to fix a screen malfunction, and I have already been requested to receive 4 different refurbishes iphones (all with visual signs of wear / or scratches in the bumper). After my escalation in apple I was given the same message: Refurbsihed iphones are assembled iphones with absolutely no cosmetic issues and working perfectly. After my escalation being raised to someone higher in Ireland, this person is telling me this refurbished iphone may have signs of wear, and apple based on support policy can indeed replace my iphone in MINT condition by a refurbished iphone with signs of wear and tear. I do not believe this statement is true, and would like to have it confirmed?

(just for orientation in space: even though date of production is/was only 4 months, now they are asking me for invoice in order to replace my iphone by a new one.... and it's been >2 months since I dropped my iphone in an apple representative to fix, and overal over a month with apple customer care and waiting for Apple to investigate my situation and get to me with a solution!)

Back to my original topic, I would like to have this point confirmed.

Thank you in advance

Rbrylawski, i have done that 4 times already, that is why I raised a complaint in Apple customer service, and since than it's been over a month trying to handle and solve the project. After this month now they (Apple directly) are telling me a refurbished phone can have uses of sign, and though they are required to replace the device, it may have signs of wear and inclusive this is confirmed in one their extense support policies.

This way my questions are:
-are there any comments about having a 4 months mobile device (iPhoneX) in MINT condition and getting back a refurbished iphone X with esthetic defects (scratches)?

-Is there any Apple policy referring to esthetic signs / quality for refurbished devices from Apple?

Thank you in advance

The assistant said it, he is am not sure he is 2nd level of support but for sure he is a 2nd level of support for my escalation.

The link you provided me is very interesting, however it does not make any comment concerning visual condition of the device, it's all about "apple high standard" and excelent working condition, but no comments concerning visual asthetics.

Any suggestions?
