black screen with blue cursor

Every time I turn on my macbook pro (2017) a black screen with a blue cursor and a profile picture with my name appears. It’s only a few months old and I’m not sure what’s wrong with it. Earlier it kept showing the flashing folder with a question mark, so I tried several possible fixes for that, but it only shows this new screen now. I have no idea if there’s a way for me to fix the problem myself or if I’ll have to take it to the apple store, but if anyone has any solutions let me know User uploaded file

I would take it in for a over the counter 'Apple Service Diagnostics' test and ask specifically for the VST (Video Systems Test)
