App Store only showing updates tab
My App Store in 10.14 is only showing the updates tab. Logging in and out combined with reboot did not fix the issue.
I can search for apps but I cannot see other tabs than updates.

Dear Chris_g1.
I identified the trouble maker: It was an old version of App Store showing up in system information. It was located with other old versions in _CCC SafetyNet. I managed to move the folder to the trash bin which solved the AppStore issue.
However the system will not let me empty the trash bin as the old apps seem to be protected from the system. How can I manage this? Only in the terminal?
Yes a senior advisor identified this as the cause. But we could not get even the old app store version into the trash? It always said it was a system program and could not be modified or deleted. So I cannot move the old version etc. I wrote CCC about this but have not received any response yet. I hope we can find a solution?
Appreciate all the suggestions. No brass ring yet. Will not allow me to delete all the contents in the updates, contents folder. Says again that is is not possible to delete them. I was able to preferences and delete the com.apple.appstore.plist but it made no difference. Did the first aid thing in recovery and no difference. Had already tried the new user thing and it does show properly in the new user account but not in my main account.
Ok I have found the solution that worked for me. Open up the Carbon Copy program. Go to the utilities in the menu bar of the program and select, :delete a safety net folder. In the "go to computer when selected "go". you will need to open the Mac hard drive and then you will see a folder, "delete a ccc safty net " folder. Open that and pick the dated ccc safety net and move delete it. Once that is done empty the trash, restart and when you open the app store again all should display as normal. Worked for me. Hope it does for others with this problem.
Solved
I have the same problem and I find an older version of apple store saved in iCloud Drive. I deleted it and all work right.
Thank to Italian apple support (Gianluigi) the help me to find the solution.
That worked for me as well. I found an older version of the App Store in an old backup of my applications. Thank you!
