Siri can't find my current location

Siri can't find my current location, and won't give out map-oriented info without it. I don't have wifi at home. Is there any non-wifi way to get Siri to recognize my location? Enable Location Services is checked in System Prefs. 27" iMac, late 2013, OS 10.13.5.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

You just need to have WiFi on. It doesn't have to be connected to a network.

iphones and ipad cellular has a gps chip which with a direct line of sight can receive the pings from the gps satelites

macs do not, not sure how you would expect siri to get your location if you don't have a internet connection

if you do it's not a wifi related thing, the mac ask the router no matter what type of router for the location, if the router has not it will pass the request on to the router at your carriers it connects to, so it's a router thing not a wifi thing
