I have Parkinson's tremors and my finger accidentally lightly taps against mouse causing zoom and unzoom to jump the screen. Can I get this zoom option turn off?

Can the zoom function by tapping the mouse on MacBook Pro and sleek mouse (do not remember its exact name) be turned off? Tremors keep the screens zooming in and out...

yes From >System Preferences>Trackpad turn off smart zoom
