ipad mini battery not holding charge very long

Have an ipad mini 1489 that is loosing battery life. How doI get a new battery? is two years about right for a battery life span?

If you wish to have your battery checked by Apple to see if it needs replacing, you can make a Genius Bar appointment at the nearest Apple Store and they will check it. They will explain your options from there.
