Mojave not compatible with AMD Radeon HD 6750 M GPU ?

I was surprised to be unable to install the Mojave release on a 17" MacBook Pro with a quad-core i7 CPU and a Radeon H 6750 M GPU with a 1920 x 1200 matte display. This apparently has to do with lack of support for Metal by Apple which, by the way, is available on some Mac models released before this 17" MacBook Pro. I am very disappointed to see my beloved 17" MacBook seeing its sunset... Love this 17" laptop!

I am double-checking with the community to see if someone, with better insight than mine, can suggest a work-around.

The last MacBook Pro produced was the late 2011 and no 2011

MacBook Pro is able to run Mojave.

The only Macs older than that are MacPro Towers and they can only

do it if they have a very select few video cards.

Otherwise, nothing older than a 2012 anything can run Mojave.
