AirPods Behaviors on Mojave

Dear Team,

I'm currently facing on issue regarding my AirPods and Mojave system.

Problem description :

  • When I'm using my AirPods with my iPhone X both earphone works with the same power, same sound on both side.
  • When I'm using my AirPods with my MacBook Pro Retina, left earphone works normally, however, the right earphone, the sound is very low.

I've try to remove my AirPods and sync again, the problem is similar.

Do you have any idea to manage this behavior?

Thanks for your help,

MacBook Pro with Retina display, macOS High Sierra (10.13.3), 2.3 Ghz Intel Core i7 - 8GB DD3

You right, sorry for that.

Back to the solution I've found.

Basically, on my system I had Boom 3D installed, all works perfectly with High Sierra but after upgrade, the behavior appeared.

So after remove app from their installer, I've used the following command to fully clean my system:

For v1

killall Boom

sudo kextunload -b com.globaldelight.driver.BoomDevice

sudo rm -rf /Applications/Boom.app /Library/Extensions/BoomDevice.kext

For V2

killall Boom\ 2

sudo kextunload -b com.globaldelight.driver.Boom2Device

sudo rm -rf /Applications/Boom\ 2.app /Library

rm -rf ~/Music/Boom{,\ 2}

Once done, reboot my mac, remove my AirPods and sync them again.

Go to system preference > Sound click on AirPods > configure right and left.

Problem solved 🙂
