Cleaning a Smart Cover?
My iPad Smart Cover (the folding kind) is getting dirty from handling. How can I safely clean it, especially the suede-like inside cover?
iMac, Mac OS X (10.5.8)
For the microfiber side of the smart cover, I clean this with warm water and using a small amount of ordinary dish soap ( Dawn ).
Then, I use a nylon scrubby and gently agitate the fibers to get the dirt/oils/grease to breakdown and get removed from the microfiber side of the smart cover.
Then, rinse thoroughly with clean warm water.
Depending on how dirty the microfiber side of the smart cover is, you might have to wash the microfiber side a second time.
Pat dry with a small bath towel and the let air dry with the microfiber side of the cover facing up.
Put the smart cover back on your iPad when the microfiber side is dry/near dry.
