4K Movie on 1080p TV

I have a 1080p TV and a Dolby Atmos enabled AV processor. Will an Apple TV 4K and tvOS12 allow me to stream a 4K movie from iTunes on my 1080p TV and give me both a picture and the Dolby Atmos sound track (assuming the movie has an Atmos sound track)?

Many movies released on Blue-Ray discs only have immersive audio mixes with the 4K disc and not with the non-4K disc. I can play the 4K disc on a 4K player hooked through an Atmos enabled AV receiver to a 1080p TV and get both a picture and the Atmos sound mix. I was wondering if I can do the same thing with 4K iTunes movies on the Apple TV 4K running tv OS12?

No. I meant that the output will automatically be 1080P so 4K content won’t be available. Users who purchase that model to use with a 1080P display are paying more for what is essentially a 4th Gen because they won’t be able to take advantage of the added features, which require a 4K TV.

I was referring to the Blu-rays when stating that it would be downscaled to 1080

No. Upon setup it would detect the 1080 display and set the resolution accordingly.

The blurays would be downscaled to 1080P as well.

Do you mean I could stream a 4K movie from iTunes but the Apple TV 4K would downscale it to 1080p? I'm assuming the 4K movies will have the Dolby Atmos sound mixes so if I can actually select a 4K movie on iTunes I'll get the Atmos sound mix but a downscaled 1080p picture.
