How do I upgrade from 10.8.5 To Sierra? Nothing installs when I run the installer

Did you download the installer from the App Store? Are you trying to install an update instead of the full installer?

It doesn't work. The App store or something else changed between 10.8.5 and the later versions and NO updates are available.

Sierra is an upgrade, not an update. Did you click the link in the second line of my post?
