Adding second birthday entry in Contacts in English not Chinese
The essence of the question was originally posted by wyo.jnj Jan 8, 2015 with additional six contributors the last being Dec 19, 2017 but without any solution offered.
I don't have a question but have repeated the basis of the question raised by wyo.jnj so as to renew the conversation and offer a simple solution. It appears the solution should work for both iPhone and iPad.
The process is as follows:
1. Select Contact to be edited;
2. Select Edit...
3. Scroll to add birthday option...
...add 1st birthday date;
4. To now add a second birthday or any other Anniversary date for this Contact, scroll down to the immediately following option add date...
and tap add date. This will immediately display the default word anniversary and insert your devices current system date: But these can be edited to whatever best describes the situation...as follows:
Modified description...
In this example I have chosen to add the Custom Label option to read "Second bday description"... which will be selected to replace the default word "anniversary"...
...and followed by the required birthday date, in this example I have selected April 7...
...tap Done and your done.
...final result:
This process can be followed to insert a number of additional dates whether anniversary or some other important date/s for this Contact. The process is not complex or time consuming and assuming you have all the necessary date information at hand, should not take much more than about 2 mins to complete.
The only apparent wrinkle in this is that it does not sync the second birthday date to the Calendar if that option is switched on in your Calendar settings. You can of course add a direct Calendar entry for the second or additional dates as an item for any/all of the additional date/s. The Calendar options does of course allow for all to be set for Alerts and Repeat from one year to the next. Once set up then barring any corruptions in your device you would only need to make the effort once to set up the additional date/s and Calendar entries: And of course if there is corruption or you "lose" your device you can restore from your backup.
