Stand hours are the only activity being recorded by watch and phone

I just noticed that for 3 days, my only Activity being recorded is Stand time. For those 3 days, there are 0 Move calories and 0 Exercise minutes.

Steps are being recorded properly in the Pedometer++ app for period.

Privacy permissions for phone and watch seem to be the same as always and correct for recording activity/motion, etc.

The only thing I can think of that changed (besides OS updates) is that I recently unpaired and re-paired my Apple Watch Series 2 with my iPhone 8. But I'm pretty sure I did that longer than 3 days ago, so that would seem to point at the pairing not being an issue.

Now that I think about it, I went for a long walk yesterday and the phone didn't sense that I was going for an outdoor walk.

Anyway, I have literally 2+ years of data being recorded properly, and now it has stopped. Any ideas?

Hello George Krompacky,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities for help with your Apple Watch. Since you unpaired it and did and did some upgrades recently, I recommend the following steps.

First, unpair your Apple Watch and iPhone: Unpair your Apple Watch and iPhone - Apple Support

Then, restart your Apple Watch: How to restart your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Next, restart your iPhone: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Once this is done, you can re-pair the devices: If your Apple Watch isn't connected or paired with your iPhone - Apple Support

The last step I believe will help is to calibrate the watch to ensure it is getting the most accurate measurements: Calibrating your Apple Watch for improved Workout and Activity accuracy - Apple Support

Thanks and have a wonderful day.
