iPhone XS countries LTE compatibilities

Hello!

I've just bougth a iPhone XS, MPN: MT972LL/A from a virtual Apple Store in USA. Unfortunately, I came to know that this model (which is A1920) is not compatible in Brazil, since our LTE's Band is 28 (700 APT Mhz). My question is: Does Apple in USA sell iPhone XS model A2097? If the answer is 'yes', would it be possible to return the A1920 to Apple and exchange it to the right one?

Any help will be very welcome!

You are right saying that I should have purchased my iPhone in Brazil, but I bought it there for three reasons: i) it is 50% more expensive here in Brazil; ii) a relative of mine offered to bring it to me with no charge and; iii) it has not been lunched here yet.

Well, I'll follow your advice and try to exchange it here with our local Apple Store. No chance to sell it... This is it!

Apple has a "virtual" store in Brazil ... and where you should have purchased your iPhone, for at least, two reasons:

Avoid issues where the phone's hardware does not support the cellular service in another country, and
When the phone requires a repair, you would have to bring it back to the US or have it shipped there for servicing.

As far as exchanging the phone, chances are you will have to "plead your case" to your local Apple Store to see if they can help you. Most likely, you will have to sell your current phone and purchase a new one in Brazil. Apple's GiveBack program, if even available in Brazil, will only offer a Apple Store credit at a reduced amount depending on condition of the returned phone.

The Apple USA stores only stock the models designed for sale here. They don’t even have the another foreign models in stock.
