photocasting with trial .mac account

I am trying to photocast an album using a trial .mac account. Each time I get a message saying it doesn't recognize my user name or password and directs me to system preferences for .mac.

that name and password are correct. is this a problem because I only have a trial account? I also can't sync to a .mac account.
