I’m having problems logging on my apps and accounts using my iPhone Xs

I just started using my iPhone Xs and I find that it won’t let me log on Google Drive and other apps such as TripAdviso, etc. When trying to open an app or text message using the short cut, it won’t open. I also can’t send text messages direct from the contact book - I have to go to Messages.

How can I fix this as it’s so annoying, I’m thinking of using my old iPhone 7 as it’s more reliable. I use Google Drive a lot for work and I can’t access it at the momen.
