iOS12 Split Keyboard issues

iOS12 has introduced major issues with the iPad Split Keyboard. Password Autofill is now completely broken - and the keyboard does not re-draw/render correctly when switching between landscape/portrait and portrait.landscape modes.

For info, having raised a case with Apple Support a week ago, I have finally received acknowledgement of the problem - but have not received any confirmation that the bugs will be fixed.

At present, the only workaround for both faults is to use the full keyboard. The previous iOS11.4 implementation was flawless. At present, if you use the split keyboard feature, do not upgrade to iOS12.
