No sound from usb audio input after mojave update

I have been working to "digitize" my record collection and cassettes on my Late 2015 27" iMac . I use the Behringer UFO202 usb audio interface for audio input and GarageBand to record the audio. After the Mojave update, I get no sound through my speakers and GarageBand doesn't seem to acknowledge the audio but when I go to system preferences, I can see in Sound that my computer is recognizing the USB input and the input level does indicate that a signal is coming in. Before anyone asks, Yes I have checked the input settings in GarageBand. Help please!

There have been several posts of users not being able to hear anything and it is the computer requiring permission to use the microphone or other sound input devices. The control to allow use is in the Security and Privacy Preference in the System Preferences.

Glad it worked. It pays to follow the discussions. You see other people's problems and how they solved them which leaves you with just a little more knowledge which you can share with fellow Mac users or apply to yourself if the occasion arises.
