any one have the new iphone xs Max paired with a samsung gear s3?
I do and it work before but no I can not get any watch faces or apps in the samsung gear s3 app on my iphone
it does pair and I do get notifications does any have these issues ?

Make sure you have the Samsung gear App on your phone. There are two bluetooth connections that need to occur. Check your settings on the watch and set the connection to either wifi on or auto. The gear app has downloaded watch faces for me just fine. Worst comes to worst in settings reconnect the watch to a 'new phone' and reinstall your Gear App.

The watch faces on iPhone is only for Watch not Samsung Gear.
No! it worked on my iPhone 7 plus I could chose from many different watch faces and apps for the samsung gear s3 watch thru the Samsung app on my iphone 7 plus
but not now with the iphone xs max

Then you should ask Samsung. The iPhone builtin Watch app is for Watch.

I did ask Samsung and got no answer. that is why I am here looking for IPhone user with xs max same as me who uses Gear S3 watch
