DHL does NOT charge for a pickup at your home, (or whichever address your specify for that matter) Just go to DHL.com, select your location (US prob.) and under the Pick-up and Drop off Heading (about half way down the page) click on schedule a pickup.

If they don't recognize your address, or havent picked up from your location before they will call you first for directions, so make sure to enter a valid phone #. They are also usually pretty good about picking up in the window you specify.
If all else fails, usually a local pack and ship will hand your box off to the local DHL guy, although some places may not want to accept responsibility for your package.
