How to type arrows (➔) in a Pages text on iPad.

I need to type arrows (➔) in a Pages text on my iPad.
Does anybody know how?

On your Mac, visit System Preferences : Keyboard : Text. Add a right and left arrow text replacement couplet.

Now tab over to the With category.
For the With category, Edit menu : Emoji & Symbols to launch the character palette. Search for arrow, scroll down, and select the RightWards arrow symbol (per the screen capture). Double-click the RightWards Arrow (selected) to insert it into the With field, and press return to set it.
Your Mac should share this Text Replacement with your iPad via iCloud, and it should be available to you in Pages for iOS v4.2 on iOS 12 when you type the -> characters. I have neither, so cannot further test this for any tweaks needed on the iOS 12 side.
