Automator: Import files into Photos Error

This issue was already there with High Sierra. It seems to be still not fixed in Mojave. Does anyone else have the same problem? If I create a "Folder Action" which does just import the files into Photos.app, the workflow is actually working fine and the images are imported correctly. But Automator crashes with the error:

The action “Import Files into Photos” encountered an error: “Import Files into Photos script failed.”

Import Files into Photos script failed.

There are no more information provided, but I found some threads where it is stated, that this has to be a bug with High Sierra - and as it looks with Mojave as well. Can anyone confirm? Or even better: Does anyone have a workaround?

On Mojave, I am only seeing this error message on the first run, when I am setting up the folder action.

During the first run the Automator action will give this error. I simply ignore it.

But after the initial setup I can drag and drop image files into the folder and they will appear in Photos and the selected import album. No more error messages from Automator. The bigger problem is, that the folder action does not update the import album, when I try to change to a different album for new imports.
