Heart rate complication issue

My heart rate monitor complication is making me tap on it to see my heart rate rather than just showing on my watch face. How do I fix this??

Heart Rate Reading Problem My heart rate on my home screen of my Apple Watch (my face) has said that it hasn’t been taken in 12 days however when I click on it and it takes me to the heart rate app it has been measuring it. Heart rate complications do not open on watch face I have tried 3 student heart rate apps including the built in heart rate from Apple. They all show old data, but a soon as you click the complication, it updates to real time data. Why is this not updating in the background. Both the app and watch app have background app refresh on.

Turning the Battery Saver Mode in the General settings fixed mine.
