ios12 bug

I started experiencing a bug in FaceTime after updating my iPhone X to iOS 12...anytime I lock my phone the FaceTime call immediately ends. Is there a way to fix this? Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

That action has always happened. The side button always ends the call when you attempt to lock the screen. The exception is if you have headphones plugged in.

Are you pressing the side button to lock the phone? That ends calls.

It has been going on for several versions of iOS. I'm saying if it didn't for you, that is highly unusual. Again, the only exception is if using headphones.
