Manual selection of carrier networks disappears after iOS 12
When I updated to ISO 12. The manual selection of network carrier has disappeared.
I am unable to get off of my network carrier.
Go to Mobile Data, then open Network Selection.

It sounds like your phone was hacked or jailbroken to allow selection of a network, as this is not a normal built-in capability. Upgrading iOS overwrote the hack. Normally you change networks by swapping SIM cards. The phone recognizes the network that activated the SIM card and switches automatically.
The Problem lies in where my location is a rule area with very little service. I had the ability to go into my settings and turn off automatic carrier and select EXT. For service. After updating to iOS over 12 Apple has remove this feature.

iOS 11 as t standard feature
There is no mobile data section, only cellular data network. This is for selecting personal hotspot.
Exactly, that is the problem. I have no cell service without the ability to manually switch to extended coverage. Any word on apple rectifying problem.
