My iPhone X (fully updated) has had the song “take on me” show up every time I view music on the lock screen or control center. It’s very annoying as if I even pause one of my podcasts for one second, it just displays “take on me” in the control center. It says “Siri suggestion”. Also, if I press play, it does not play but instead greys out. How can I fix this?
Change search settings
You can change the search settings to limit which apps and results appear while you're searching. To do this:
- Go to Settings > Siri & Search.
- Scroll down and select an app.
- Then tap Search, Suggestions, & Shortcuts to allow or prevent results and shortcut suggestions from showing up. When you turn this feature off, you'll have the option to select Show App. Turn this off to prevent the app from appearing in your search results.
You can also use Allow on Lock Screen to prevent an app from appearing on the Lock screen as a Siri suggestion. Learn more about Siri suggestions.
I have tried all of the above "solutions" to turn of Sire Suggestion but my iPhone 6 running iOS 12.2.2 continues to display these. This bug is causing a terrible user experience and I hope Apple resolves it soon.

I have done what you said, turned off the Search, Suggestions, & Shortcuts for literally every app and deselected Suggestions in Search, Look Up, and Lock Screen. Yet, there is still a podcast suggestion on my lock screen every time I turn on my lock screen.
Any ideas?
Hi, I also had this issue with a podcast that would display as a Siri suggestion on my lock screen even after following all the directions to disable siri, suggestions, et al.
What finally worked was following all the directions here and then power cycling my phone (iphone X in this case).
No more suggestions.
It’s happening to me too. A podcast keeps popping up in my screen when I wake my XR. I took it off the widgets, I turned off notifications. I think I did everything. I don’t see any other directions here. Help please!
I am also having this problem. I have turned everything off and still cannot get the song take on me off of my lock screen. My blue tooth music won’t even work with my car since this started. When is this going to be corrected?
I have also tried all suggestions and continue to get Siri suggestions on my lock screen. It is especially infuriating to have Siri "suggest" that I send the exact same text message to the person I just texted, or to visit the same web page I just visited. Please fix this.
My iPhone X (Fully updated). Every time I push the power button and wake it up the first thing I see is a siri suggestion to "play sweet emotion by aerosmith". A fine suggestion, even a totally kick *** one, but I'd rather see the pic of my kid I have as my wallpaper. I've tried everything suggested here. Powercycling, settings, siri, unclicking siri suggestions, power cycling again, killed a chicken, bathed the phone in its blood, nothing is working. Sweet Emotion window for siri suggestions keeps popping up. I'm filled with hatred for my phone.
Funny enough, I had exactly the same problem, i.e. the same "Take on me" displayed on my lock screen. What's with this song???
I removed the SIRI suggestions from lock screen settings, but it was only applied after I restarted the iPhone.
I’ve also turned off the Siri selection on lock screen (as explained above) but still have a podcast showing up on the lock screen.

The same thing happened to me. I did all the suggestions as well. Once I reatarted (power cycled) my iPhone X it finally fixed the problem.
Deactivating the settings for Siri suggestions and then powering off and rebooting my iPhone took care of the problem for me!
