I redeemed a gift card last night, but it still not show in my account balance yet, why?

I got a iTunes gift card from my credit company, I redeem last night but the balance still not show in my account yet, why? I try to redeem again but it show the card is already been redeemed.

Have you tried logging out and back into the account and seeing if the balance updates ? If it doesn't update have you looked at the account's purchase history, did you owe iTunes money and/or have subscriptions/pre-orders due ? If not, contact iTunes Support and see what they say : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww
