Apple Music wont Play Explicit Content.

Hi Everyone,

I am actually facing an issue with my Apple Music.

Recently i bought the iPhone Xs Max.

In the apple music section i dont see all of my explicit rated songs in my playlist and Apple Music wont play explicit music.

I have allowed explicit content in the restrictions tab.

The restrictions settings are the same in my other iOS Devices (iPhone 5s, iPhone 6s, iPad Pro 10.5) all running iOS 12 and i see those songs in the playlist in all these devices.

I am attaching the screenshot of the restrictions page and the message from the apple music page.

Thanks in advance.

Hey i just got the issue sorted out i think it will be helpful for others facing this issue to sort it out hence i am posting the solution to this issue.

Download the itunes store app.

Go and find and explicit song.

Initially the buy button will be greyed out.

Tap on the buy button it will say in order to buy this song you need to enable explicit content.

Tap enable explicit content. (This wont buy the song)

Once done your apple music will be able to play explicit content.

The support executive said it is a bug and will be fixed in iOS 12.1

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities, r.surya96!

I understand you're unable to play explicit music on your iPhone XS Max. I'd be happy to provide information to help you out.

Since you've already used the steps in this article, let's try a work around: Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Go to Settings > General > Reset All Settings. This will revert your iPhone's settings as if it were new, including removing Wi-Fi passwords, removing alarms, and clearing Bluetooth paired items. This step will not delete any information from your iPhone.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
Have a great day!
