re-order songs in a playlist

i cannot seem to be able to re-order songs in a playlist. The Apple support site says "Change the order of songs: Drag the songs into the order you want" but that does not work

Hey Bondi Junk,

Here's how I do it. While inside the playlist, I set the view (using the main iTunes menu) to View > View As > Songs.

Now I click on the leftmost column header — the one with no title, with a list of numbers beneath it — which basically orders the songs in the order they were added to the list (or the reverse).

Now it's possible to grab the tracks and drag them around.
