Macbook Pro not charging

Hello,

My Macbook Pro model A1278 does not appear to be charging although the charger cable indicator light is on so I presume that the charger is operational.

I understand that the PRAM or SMC could be corrupted, is this possible?

Can anyone please suggest a fix?

Many thanks!

Hi,

SMC does battery management, so resetting SMC could solve the problem.
