I‘ve been getting droves of spam in Chinese and Japanese within my iCloud account. This has been going on for years. I’m hoping in these modern times, there is a solution aside from only allowing emails from my contacts. I use Apple mail on my Mac and iOS.
There is no as such rules created in advanced settings regarding special characters from specific language , the junk mail arrive from a particular sender , you can create rules by choosing the options that are appropriate .

None of those options are appropriate. As my original question indicates, I do not wish to have an approved senders list because I get many important emails from people who are emailing me for the first time. I have been “blocking” the senders of the Chinese emails, but I keep getting more of them from different senders.
I appreciate the response, but my issue is specific to filtering email with Chinese/Japanese characters. There’s no condition, that I’m aware of, which allows this.
