Mojave Internet Connection Issue
Just updated from High Sierra to Mojave on my Mac Mini (Late 2012). To do that of course, I was connected to the internet via my normal wifi. However, as of after the update, it is still connected to the wifi but claims that there is no internet. This, of course, is confusing as other devices (my MacBook Air running High Sierra, my iPhone iOS12.0, and others' computers both apple and other in the home) are browsing without issue.
It does not show the wifi symbol with the exclamation mark ( ! ) in it either, as it would if the internet truly was not available.
I have never in the past had this issue occur when updating between MacOS. All settings appear to be identical to before the update. I am not running any programs that are not Apple-approved from the app store or that would have access to override my system settings.
I have attempted:
- browsing in Safari/Chrome/Firefox
- disconnecting/reconnecting wifi on my mac, as normal
- removing the wifi from the auto-join list before disconnecting/reconnecting
- 'forgetting' the wifi network, then disconnecting/reconnecting with the password requirement
- turning on/off the wifi router
- restarting my mac & repeating the same above attempts
