You need to set up separate IDs for everyone then sign out of all devices that are using the same ID and sign back in using the new separate ID.
Every time I try to send my dad a message, it instead goes to my mom. Every time he tries to send me a message, it goes to my mom as well. We can both send her messages and she can send them to us. I don’t know why this started happening or how to fix it.

Is everyone using separate Apple IDs?
No we are not, but we have all of the sharing turned off and only have our separate numbers clicked on “send and receive”.
It goes against Apple’s culture and everything it stands for but yes, IOS12 has changed the way iMessaging works and this happens when multiple devices are associated with the same Apple ID.
