iCloud Numbers: Pasting an image into a cell

I'm trying to paste an image into a cell in Numbers for iCloud as I would in Numbers on my Mac, but it's not working.

In the Numbers app simply copying a picture and then selecting a cell and pasting it there will make it the background of the cell. Easy.

But in Numbers on iCloud that is not possible. In the iCloud app paste is not possible into the cell. I click on the cell but when I paste nothing happens.

With nothing selected paste still works but the image is floating. I want it fixed to the cell. How do I do this?

text box below photo I would like to add a text box below a photo then type within that box. Is this possible? Or, perhaps, is it possible to create a white space at the bottom of the photo (currently the bottom of the photo is black) then add text on top of that portion of the photo as you normally would? Currently I'm editing with the Photo App on my Mac, would I need to use a different program?
