recieved email that said I purchased a 100.00 gift card from the Apple Store. I have not made any purchases

Kidding! But seriously, it's a spam scam. Delete it.
There'll be more scams arriving, some probably claiming your Apple ID password has been locked out and that you must reset it immediately—the link they provide might look like an Apple web page, but won't actually be an Apple web site—and others claiming your system is infested with malware, and some claiming to have compromising pictures of you, some claiming a friend or relative or acquaintance has been arrested and desperately needs bail money, and any number of other and increasingly-ingenious scams.
