I have same issue as others with Safari 12 not accepting Java plug-in. I do not have a back up to be able to reinstall previous version of Safari. Have tried installing virtual box, but also got an error message. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem as others after updating to Safari 12. Java plug-in is not accepted. Do not have a back up of previous version of Safari. Also tried installing and downloading Virtual Box but also got error message. Any suggestions?
