OS X Mavericks not reinstalling on my MacBook Pro.

I am trying to factory reset my MBP. I erased the the Mac OS Extended (Journaled) as mentioned by many websites and went back to reinstall OS X Mavericks. When I go back to reinstall OS C Mavericks, I get an error message that says “An error occured while preparing the installation. Try running this application again”. I have tried running it again multiple times and I get the same result. I am connected to the internet but I cannot get passed this screen. Why won’t it reinstall OS X?

If your computer will support it, try Internet Recovery. Try booting into Internet Recovery (command - option/alt - R on a restart). It is a slow process. This will install the newest OS that the computer is compatible with. Reformat the drive using Disk Utility/Erase Mac OS Extended (Journaled), then click the Option button and select GUID. Quit Disk Utility. Then install the OS.When the computer restarts, you can use Setup Assistant to restore your data from Time Machine.
