what is idvd?

If it is a commercial (copy protected) DVD then that question falls outside the scope of this forum.

If it is a 'home-made' DVD then you can either use the copy function in Disk Utility (which you already have) or, even better for a variety of reasons, get the software called Roxio Toast, which makes the job as easy as it can get.

is idvd compatible with a windows because i bought a program for windows that lets you put an unprotected movie in mp3 (in other words itunes) format. would that work


mp3 is a music / audio format. and no iDVD software itself is Not compatible with windows nor any PC.

However the product generated from iDVD (namely the DVD itself in mpeg2 format) will play on most PC's, most macs, and most DVD Players as well.
